A Dense Ground Cover
Fragrant, apple scented foliage and flowers. Thick clusters of five-petaled, pink flowers in late spring. Showy stamens dance with the slightest breeze. Geranium Macrorrhizum's foliage displays red and bronze tints in fall. Clusters of crimson-red, berrylike seedheads remain after the flower petals fall away. Tolerates sun and dry conditions. Our plant spacing recommendations are based on how quickly these plants will spread in their first season of growth.

Geranium General Information

Perennial Geranium are always a favorite for its excellent mounding habit and late spring to summer bloom time. Lovely foliage complements the flowers well. Many of the flowers exhibit interesting veining. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Geranium Plant Care

Prefers well-drained soil. Snip off spent flowering stems at the base or shear tops back to new growth to stimulate rebloom and freshen foliage. Generally does not need division but can be divided in spring or fall if desired.
