2015 PPA Plant of the Year
2015 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year! Geranium Biokovo from the Biokovo Mountains in Europe exhibits masses of pink centered white flowers from late spring to mid summer. The showy stamens dance with the slightest breeze. A delightful aromatic low-spreading mat of fragrant foliage turns red in the fall making this a garden pleasure year round. Geranium Biokovo is a naturally occurring hybrid of Geranium dalmaticum and Geranium macrorrhizum found in present-day Croatia. This stunning variety has an overall effect of a blushing pink geranium. Plant with its deep rose colored cousin, Biokovo Karmina for a stunning combination.

Geranium General Information

Perennial Geranium are always a favorite for its excellent mounding habit and late spring to summer bloom time. Lovely foliage complements the flowers well. Many of the flowers exhibit interesting veining. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Geranium Plant Care

Prefers compost-enriched soil that stays moist. Snip off spent flowering stems at the base or shear tops back to new growth to stimulate rebloom and freshen foliage. Generally does not need division but can be divided in spring or fall if desired.
