Cup-shaped petals of pink/purple with darker veining – like stitches on your favorite quilt. Profuse flowering blankets the mounded, finely-cut, green foliage that matures to burgundy red in fall to earn its name.
Long blooming, strong grower adapts to both hot summer and cold winter climates with ease.
Perennial Geranium are always a favorite for its excellent mounding habit and late spring to summer bloom time. Lovely foliage complements the flowers well. Many of the flowers exhibit interesting veining.
Prefers compost-enriched soil that stays moist. Snip off spent flowering stems at the base or shear tops back to new growth to stimulate rebloom and freshen foliage. Generally does not need division but can be divided in spring or fall if desired.
