A new choice of "Joe-Pye weed" flowering July to September. Robust plants carry wine-red coloration, particularly in the stems. Eupatorium Gateway has flower clusters that are red. In the background, or along pond or stream edges, or on the edge of woodlands, a truly showy, decorative plant. Road salt tolerant.

Eupatorium General Information:

Eupatorium are great perennials to add stature to the back of the border without ever needing to be staked. An excellent performer that will tolerate a moist site. Lots of late summer color attractive to butterflies. Eupatorium has recently been reclassified to Eutrochium.

Eupatorium Plant Care:

Best in a consistently moist site. Benefit from division every 4-5 years in spring or fall. Slow to emerge in spring. Stems and seedheads are attractive in early winter.
