Deutzia General Information

Deutzia is an outstanding shrub well suited for small spaces or used as a groundcover. It is an elite plant for any garden. Its gently arching branches are covered by flowers in late April and early May. Highly effective in containers or cascading over a low wall. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Deutzia Plant Care

Buds are set on previous years growth, so any pruning should be done just after flowers fade. New growth is produced from the base. Periodic thinning of branches will maintain the arching form. Pest resistant. Very easy to grow in any fertile soil. Benefits from light afternoon shade in areas with high temperatures.
