Campanula General Information
Campanula persicifolia will self sow to fill in and rarely needs staking. Adapts to average or moist soil conditions. Likes full sun to part shade.Campanula are versatile perennials that provide a wide range of colors, shapes and uses. Many varieties offer long bloom time and easy care, while others feature some of the best blues and deepest purples in the perennial world. Spikes, globes, carpets-Campanula offer many pleasing forms.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Campanula Plant Care
Removing spent flowers stalks will encourage rebloom and discourage seeding (if not wanted). Leave any new fall foliage at the base to overwinter. Pinch when plants are about 6" tall to eliminate need for staking. Can divide every 3-4 years in the spring. Prefers moist, well-drained soil.
