Anchusa General Information

Anchusa are best suited to hot dry sites. Blooms over a long period in the summer. Likes a well- drained soil. Dislikes humidity. Remove spent flower stems for further bloom. Easy to grow. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Anchusa Plant Care

Cutting back hard (to a couple of inches) in midsummer after flowering will cause fresh foliage. Divide in spring after 2nd year to prolong life of clump. Seeds nicely so watch for new seedlings around parent plant. Consistent moisture is beneficial. Can cut off any dead top growth if needed in fall.
