A noble perennial that produces a mound of huge, leathery leaves. Large spikes of lemony yellow flowers on purplish stems are above the heart-shaped foliage. Give this moisture lover room as it can be 4' across and 5' tall. A hummingbird favorite.

Ligularia General Information:

Ligularias are impressive specimen plants that produce large masses of foliage sporting showy flowers. Not for Gulf states. Good for cutting, both flower and foliage. Dried flower heads attract goldfinches.

Ligularia Plant Care:

Prefers consistently moist, compost rich soil and light shade. Can be divided in spring as needed. Spent foliage can be removed as needed and should be cut back in fall to avoid mushy foliage.
