Calycanthus General Information

Calycanthus are deciduous flowering shrubs. Large, fragrant magnolia-like flowers adorn glossy foliage. Foliage matures to a golden yellow in autumn. Nice specimen plant or in mass for a hedge. Proven Winners® selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Calycanthus Plant Care

No pruning necessary. New shoots are produced freely each spring from the base. If desired, OK to shape or thin in spring before new growth starts to remove any wayward or older woody branches.
