# Stachys / Lamb's Ears / Betony

> Stachys typically refer to S. lanata – the velvety silver-gray leaves of Lamb's Ears in dense rosettes. Foliage shape and texture resemble, you guessed it, a lamb's ear. While they rarely produce flowers, they are a compelling addition to the sunny border. Betony (S. monieri) is another Stachys with puckered and scalloped-edged green foliage.
