Beautiful colorful clusters of blue, purple, red-violet, yellow and cream shades with yellow or white eyes. Primula pubescens have stout stems that are held atop a low rosette of smooth leathery mid-green leaves. Nicely fragrant when cut for bouquets. Will do well in full sun for northern gardens, but will need some shade for the south.

Primula General Information:

Primula pubescen are considered to be one of the most carefree varieties of primrose. Smooth, leathery paddle-shaped rosettes of foliage hug the ground. Sturdy stems support rounded colorful clusters of fragrant flowers. Great for a rock garden or open woodland gardens.

Primula Plant Care:

Cut to 1/2 its size right after blooming to encourage Primula to rebloom in fall. Best grown in a rich, moist, well drained soil, will work well in full sun for northern gardens, some shade for the warmer climates.
