Dwarf Ornamental Grass
Arching variegated foliage displays a fountain of green and cream. Glistening like sparkling jewels with the autumn sun, silky pink tassels mature to white. A dwarf form of M. Variegatus provides a pleasing vertical accent, but takes up less real estate.

Miscanthus General Information

Miscanthus are the royalty of the grass kingdom with billowy texture, silky tassels, many different heights and colorations and great winter interest. Seeds are carried by a feathery plume above the plant. Pleasing sound when rustling in the wind. Deer resistant. Good for hot dry spots, also dries easily. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Miscanthus Plant Care

Grows more slowly than most Miscanthus. Cut foliage back in late winter before new shoots appear. Divide in spring when necessary. Plants do not produce viable seed. Benefits from a well drained winter site.
