Icy white and green stripes on narrow blades form a cascading waterfall of light in shady nooks. The stiking foliage of Hakonechloa Fubuki will blend beautifully in the garden with broad-leaved perennials such as Hosta and Brunnera. When cooler temperatures arrive the foliage will take on a rose-pink cast.

Hakonechloa General Information:

Hakonechloa are one of the best ornamental grass choices for shade. Likes a moist humusy soil, and good drainage. Cascades handsomely over itself. Ornamental grasses are restricted from Oregon.

Hakonechloa Plant Care:

If division is desired it should be done in the spring as new growth develops. In Northern zones plants will benefit from a layer of mulch for winter.
