Bluestone’s owner, Bill, proclaims this Shasta as one of his favorites! Wide, white petals in multiple layers form large 4” flowers. White outer petals relax to better showcase the raised creamy yellow frilly domes that resemble tiny sea anemone.

No sunny border seems complete without a Shasta Daisy. Very showy and excellent for cutting. The elegant frilly domes “dress up” this beauty for an extra special garden highlight. Easy to grow in containers, perfect for wildflower gardens and borders; Shasta Daisies are a garden favorite.

Chrysanthemum General Information

Shasta daisies are unsurpassed in the border and for cutting. Cheerful flowers late spring to midsummer. Combines easily with their neighbors. Whatever the color combination, put a Shasta between them and it works! Also known as Leucanthemum superbum.

Chrysanthemum Plant Care

Give them a sunny spot and a balanced plant food in the spring and again when buds form for healthy, showy plants. Remove flowers as they fade to promote further bloom. Give these plenty of space since they don't like to be crowded. Can be divided every 2-3 years in spring or fall. To prevent potential flopping, cut back by one-third in mid-spring or install plant supports. Good winter drainage is essential.
