Cool white blue flowers are so full that they become multi-petaled, almost sphere shaped. A prolific rebloomer, blooming on both old and new growth, yields nearly continual blooming from June to August. Proven Winners® selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow.

C. Diamond Ball is an enticing, elegant vine. The large blossoms are softly tinted lavender blue with a lighter center. Shorter in length, its compact habit is perfect for growing in containers, but equally content when grown in the ground and clambering up a trellis.

Clematis General Information:

Clematis are prized for their incredible flowers, most as large as your hand. "Queen of the Climbers" will train onto trellises, fences, or arch over doorways. Stunning when used alone or when several colors are mixed. Grower's tip: Truest colors require full sun, as any shade will introduce purple tones. Flower color and bloom size may vary while the plant is establishing.

Clematis Plant Care:

Pruning Type 2 - In this group all first flowering comes from last season's ripening stems. In early Spring watch for swelling leaf buds beginning to show. Cut all dead material off above these swelling buds. Be sure all growth is tied to the trellis, etc. at this time. Do not tie too tightly, so growth will not be hampered or cracked by tying too tight. Note: Flower color and bloom size may vary while the plant is establishing. If intertwining Clematis, pruning will be easier if you select varieties with the same pruning type.
