Requires a rich humus soil or light shade and then there is no finer flower. Blooms in April and May. We have this one emerge flowering cheerfully from underneath late season snowfalls. Be on the look out for Red Spider in mid summer. Likes moist. Pink and Rose flowers.

General Information:
Slope tolerant, erosion control, plant with crown at soil level.

Plant Care:
Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. May benefit from afternoon shade in hot summers. Can be divided every 2- 3 years right after bloom or in early fall. Be sure to replant crown just above soil surface. Cut back to 1/2 after blooming to encourage reblooms in fall.
