General Information:
Provides unsurpassed flowering in summer, clear crisp colors and fragrant flowers in profusion. While a spray program to control mildew is often necessary, the rewards are worth it. Good cut flower, fragrant, best selection for the coldest areas (zones 3 & 4), not for Gulf states.

Plant Care:
Prefers moist, humus-rich soil. Can be divided every 3 - 5 years in spring or fall. Self sows prolifically but colors may not grow true to parent plant. Cut back by 1/2 in late spring/early summer to encourage more compact plants. Shear off after bloom, just above foliage to encourage more blooms. Snip off any winter-damaged shoots in spring. To allow for good air circulation, snip out all but 4 - 6 stems in mature clump.
