General Information:
Very attractive to Bees and Hummingbirds. Strong grower in the North, can be invasive in Southern gardens. Erect stems support uniquely shaped flowers. Good to excellent mildew resistance, but if plants are stressed by drying out, spraying for powdery mildew can be necessary. Deer resistant, Prefers a moist soil, Best selection for the coldest areas (zones 3&4), Not for Gulf states.

Plant Care:
Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. Divide spring or fall every 3-4 years. Thinning stems out to increase air circulation will help prevent powdery mildew, as will keeping plants watered during dry spells. Foliage can be cut back after flowering to encourage fresh new leaves
