General Information:
The royalty of the grass kingdom, with billowy texture, silky tassels, many different heights and colorations, and great winter interest. Seeds are carried by a feathery plume above the plant. Pleasing sound when rustling in the wind. Deer resistant, good for hot dry spots, also dries easily. Ornamental grasses cannot be shipped to Oregon, sorry.
Plant Care:
Should be cut down in spring to 10" or so and clean up any dead foliage. Younger plants can be divided in spring but older clumps may be too woody to be divided successfully. May self sow. Cut off plumes to prevent seeding or leave on for fall and winter interest. Benefits from a well drained winter site.
