Chasmanthium Latifolium - NORTHERN SEA OATS - Medium 3' (4' with plumes)- Plant 3' apart. zone 5-9 Deep green foliage stands upright, arching slightly. Interesting flat tan seed heads rise above and remind one of wheat weavings. Provides excellent winter interest. Native N. American grass. Salt tolerant. Deer resistant; quite shade tolerant. Seed heads are fascinating, especially for winter interest.
