Distinctive heart shaped leathery leaves are thick and glossy and look nice all year with a little grooming now and again. Forms an expanding clump which is vigorous, yet not invasive. Does really well in many spots where other plants refuse to grow. Noted for its excellent ruby red fall and winter foliage. Pink flowers in spring, plus some fall rebloom.

General Information:
Large glossy cabbage like leaves offer texture and interest. Slowly and reliably fills in. Blooms are framed by foliage nicely.
Plant Care:
No special care needed. Clean up in spring if needed. Truly maintenance free. Divide in spring every 4 years or so when clump opens up in center. Does not like "wet feet".
