ASTER Professor Kippenburg - Short to Medium - Plant 16 - 18" apart. Dwarf Novi-Belgii. All are 10 - 14" in height perfect little mounds of color beginning in September. Invaluable in the hardy border, adding superb color in Autumn. Very durable and long lived. Even heavy wet soils will suit Asters. Watch for powdery mildew beginning in mid summer, but good air circulation will go a long way towards preventing disease. Pinch back and divide like mums for best display. Bright blue. ASPKS

Powdery mildew can be a problem. Mounds of color beginning in September, in a full range of colors. Asters are great at adding blue shades to fall season’s color. Plant Care Pinch back and divide like mums for best display. General rule of thumb is to pinch until 4th of July and not after. Pinching yields better branching and more flowers. |
