ADENOPHORA Amethyst : Adenophora, Ladybells
ADENOPHORA AMETHYST-Medium 30-36" - Plant 20" apart. zone 3-8. As pretty as, and very similar to Campanula. Tall spikes of amethyst blue bloom all summer long. Excellent cut flower. ADAMS
General Information
Adenophoras produce many spikes of colorful bells in summer. They are prolific spreaders and make a spectacular show en masse. Deadheading will prevent seeding, and a barrier will help with running if spread is not wanted. A better choice than Campanula for southern gardens. Plant Care Cut plants down to basal foliage in fall, clean up in spring. Difficult to divide due to deep roots. Long lived. |
