An amazing plant! Stokesia Color Wheel flowers open as white, and then progress through lavender to purple, while newer flowers are opening white and starting the process over again. Has the look of five different colors on the same plant at any one time.

Stokesia General Information:

Stokesia are immense disk-like flowers on 12 -18 stems. The stiff stems and long-lasting blooms make for excellent cut flowers that are easy to arrange. Will attract hordes of butterflies. Needs some winter protection for northern gardens. Will bloom from summer until first frost, and is evergreen in the south.

Stokesia Plant Care:

Well-drained soil is necessary for this plant. Very adaptable to moist or dry conditions, but no standing water. Can be divided every 4 - 6 years in spring. Deadhead individual spent flowers and stems to encourage additional bloom. Cut stalks to base when flowering has ceased.
