Spiraea General Information

Spirea are compact, upright deciduous shrubs. Blooms on year-old wood. Many flat-topped clusters of flowers appear late spring to early summer. Tough dependable plants adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Spiraea Plant Care

Spirea require very little maintenance. They prefer full sun but tolerate partial shade. Require good drainage. Prune just after flowering. In spring, trim to shape and apply a time-release fertilizer.
