Charming bright flowers of Primula Japonica in shades of pink sit atop wrinkled, wavy cabbage green leaves. Flowers are formed in distinct levels and put on a handsome display. Needs a soil that does not dry out.

Fairy Primrose when grouped provoke a romantic feel. They are happy out of the hot sun - even in containers!

Primula General Information:

Primula japonica are native to Japan. Delightful in the woodland or shade garden. Tiered flowers begin as tight little buds in the center of wavy cabbage green leaves and magically rise on 12-18 stems.

Primula Plant Care:

Needs considerable moisture to succeed. Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. May benefit from afternoon shade in hot summers. Can be divided every 2- 3 years right after bloom or in early fall. Be sure to replant crown just above soil surface. Cut back to 1/2 after blooming to encourage reblooms in fall.
