We have had this Polyanthus emerge flowering from underneath late season snowfalls. Continuous colorful blooms of up to 11 colors. So cheerful and fresh, their appearance will be welcomed in any pot, container, or garden.
General Information:
Polyanthus are early spring blooming plants available in a rainbow of colors. Delightful in the woodland or shade garden. Flowers begin as tight little buds in the center of wavy cabbage green leaves.
Plant Care:
Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. Polyanthus may benefit from afternoon shade in hot summers. Can be divided every 2- 3 years right after bloom or in early fall. Be sure to replant crown just above soil surface. Cut back to 1/2 after blooming to encourage reblooms in fall.
