A charmer. Clear pink flowers differ from most Bee Balms, with full round flower ball shape. Marshall's Delight is a nice step forward in the Monarda family. Foliage will release a spicy fragrance when crushed and can be used to make herbal tea. It makes a great addition to the cutting garden and has the outstanding bonus of a great fragrance.

Monarda General Information:

Monarda are very attractive to Bees and Hummingbirds. Strong grower in the North, can be overpowering in Southern gardens. Erect stems support uniquely shaped flowers. All these varieties have good to excellent mildew resistance, but if plants are stressed by drying out, spraying for powdery mildew can be necessary.

Monarda Plant Care:

Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. Divide spring or fall every 3-4 years. Thinning stems out to increase air circulation will help prevent powdery mildew, as will keeping plants watered during dry spells. Foliage can be cut back after flowering to encourage fresh new leaves.
