Iberis are low, evergreen mounds with bright white flowers in mid-spring. Excellent as an edger or in the border. Will bloom in part shade as well as in the sun. Best selection for the Gulf states: zones 8,9,&10.
The flowers should be sheared off after blooming ceases, and old plants can be cut back to 4 in early spring. Division is seldom necessary since plants form a low shrub when established. Stems may root as they come in contact with the soil. These plantlets can be removed and transplanted. May benefit from winter protection with a light mulch such as pine boughs in areas where there is little snowfall or in areas prone to wind damage.
Our plants are all grown in plantable fiber pots that grow incredibly vigorous plants, eliminate transplant shock, and are 100% biodegradable. They have tremendous advantages over plastic pots.
