Huge 12" wavy, rippled leaves of blue-green with an extra wide gold margin. Centers darken to glossy green in mid summer. Hosta Ocean Isle are topped with lavender flowers in early summer.

Hosta thrive in shade, even in competition with tree roots, hurray! It is hard to find a garden that won't benefit from incorporating some Hosta.

Deadheading will improve the appearance of Hosta, but birds love the seeds, and some Hosta will self sow, but not usually true to the parent. Remove soupy frozen foliage in the late fall or early spring. Can be divided in spring or fall every 3-5 years.
