Densely packed steel blue blades offer fountain-like structural interest and color to the border. In summer flowering stems rise above the grassy foliage. As the seed of Helictotrichon Sapphire ripens the flower spikelets age to brown. Perfect for coastal gardens and hillsides.

General Information:
Helictotrichon does best in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Best blue color is achieved in drier soils. Not particular as to type of soil as long as it is well drained. Evergreen in warmer climates.
Plant Care:
If needed cut back to 3-4" in spring before new growth appears.
