General Information:
Dianthus are garden classics, appearing in many shapes and colors. Long blooming, perfect for small bouquets-most are fragrant. A cottage garden is not complete without several Dianthus. Dianthus gratianopolitanus forms spreading low mats of blue green foliage.
Plant Care:
Shear off old flowering stems and the top couple inches of foliage after blooming. Foliage will quickly recover and look nice, even into winter. Prefers a loose and sandy alkaline soil. Can be divided in spring every 2-3 years.
