General Information:
Clematis are prized for their large, showy flowers. "Queen of the climbers" will train onto trellises, fences, or arch over doorways. Only needs to have its roots shaded and its flowers in the sun. Stunning when used alone or when several colors are mixed. Note: Flower color and bloom size may vary while the plant is establishing.
Plant Care:
Pruning Type 1 - Flowers are produced from old stems, so pruning is done immediately after flowering has stopped. Prune by removing all dead and weak stems immediately after flowering. Larger, older plants (over 15') are normally not pruned, especially if growing in trees. Tie stems into place after flowering. New growth will begin, and these are the stems for next year's flowers.
