Foliage stands upright, arching slightly. Interesting tan seed heads rise above the foliage and remind one of wheat weavings as they wave in the breeze. Northern Sea Oats provides nice winter interest as well. Wind tolerant. Spreads laterally, but is not invasive; makes a nice wide clump.

Chasmanthium General Information:

Chasmanthium is a Native North American grass. Salt tolerant. Self sows in moist soils, but seedlings are easy to scratch out. Northern Sea Oats is an ideal Ornamental Grass for mass plantings.
