A new and different Caryopteris coming out of Japan. Grown for its intriguing soft leaves of green and white, this sub-shrub has excellent drought tolerance (once established) and remains fresh looking, even in late summer. Rounded in habit with lavender blue flowers in late summer.

Clusters of delicate blue flowers from late summer until frost resemble blue smoke or mist. Provides hard to find midsummer color. Attractive to butterflies and works well in containers.

General Information:


Low arching habit and fragrant foliage of this shrub are a perfect complement in the perennial border. Provides hard to find midsummer color. Attractive to butterflies. Does well in containers.

Plant Care:


Blooms on current season's growth, so prune hard in early spring after leaves appear to remove dead growth and encourage blooms. May self sow lightly. Rooted stems may be separated from parent and transplanted in spring. Avoid wet soils.
