Lush darkest burgundy/black foliage blankets the ground. Leaves are slightly more upright and wavy. Ajuga Black Scallop achieves best foliage color in sunny locations. Blue flower spikes appearing in late spring. Evergreen in milder climates. Patented.

General Information:
Ajuga are an extremely hardy groundcover. Mat-forming with lush waxy leaves that when in bloom resemble a colorful carpet spread across the landscape. Will adapt to a wide variety of conditions except extremely wet.
Plant Care:
Spent flowers can be removed by mowing or using a string trimmer if desired. Divide if clumps become overcrowded. To divide, separate rooted stems or take root cuttings in early summer.
