Tall spikes of amethyst blue will bloom all summer long. Excellent cut flower with nodding bell-shaped blossoms are mildly fragrant. Gather for fresh flower bouquets. Makes a nice vertical accent for the middle of a perennial border.

Adenophora are profuse bloomers with many spikes of colorful bells in summer. Give them room to spread to make a spectacular show en masse.

Adenophora General Information:

Deadheading will prevent seeding, and a barrier will help with running if spread is not wanted. A better choice than Campanula for southern gardens.

Adenophora Plant Care:

Cut plants down to basal foliage in fall, clean up in spring. May be pinched back in May to promote bushiness. Difficult to divide due to deep roots. Long lived.
